What is the dress code for Afternoon Tea?
Gentlemen are required to wear a jacket and tie (jeans and sportswear are not permitted for either ladies or gentlemen) for Afternoon Tea in The Palm Court.
Please note that shorts, ripped jeans, trainers and sportswear are not permitted in any of the hotel’s restaurants or bars.

What happens at The Ritz Afternoon Tea?
The Ritz Afternoon Tea experience in London begins with a warm welcome from a member of the Ritz team. Guests can choose from an extensive tea menu. They are served a tiered stand featuring delicate finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones with clotted cream and jam, and exquisite pastries. Sandwiches and tea can be replenished upon request. For an extra touch of indulgence, champagne is also available. The service is impeccable throughout the experience. It concludes with an opportunity for any final requests before guests depart, having enjoyed this timeless tradition.
Can you have coffee at The Ritz?
If you prefer, you can opt for coffee instead of tea during your Afternoon Tea experience. You can also visit The Rivoli Bar for a coffee.
Can you take photos at The Ritz Afternoon Tea?
You may take photos during your Afternoon Tea using a non-professional camera, provided you do so discreetly and do not disrupt the experience of other guests.

What is the difference between Afternoon Tea and High Tea?
Afternoon Tea is a sophisticated ritual typically held between 3.00 and 5.00 pm. It consists of fine teas, delicate finger sandwiches, scones accompanied by clotted cream and jam, and elegant pastries, all served in a luxurious atmosphere.
High Tea is traditionally an evening meal associated with the working class, served from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm. It features more substantial savory dishes, including meat pies, bread, cheeses, and hot meals. The term “high” refers to the dining table’s height, differentiating it from the lower tables typically used for Afternoon Tea.

Can you get a voucher for Afternoon Tea at The Ritz?
We no longer offer Afternoon Tea experience gift vouchers; however, we do provide monetary vouchers that can be used towards Afternoon Tea. These vouchers are available in denominations of £150, £200, £250, £500, and £1,000
How much is Afternoon Tea at The Ritz?
Afternoon Tea menu pricing starts from £79 for adults and £57 for children.
Does Afternoon Tea include Champagne?
Afternoon Tea does not include Champagne, but you can add a glass of Champagne to enhance your experience and enjoy Champagne Afternoon Tea.

Is parking available?
Valet parking is charged at £40 for four hours or £65 per vehicle per 24 hours. Should you require parking for longer, please advise the doorman upon arrival at the hotel to avoid incurring a penalty charge.
